Some Kind Of People

The ignorant kind:

quotes: "Yeah ??" "Is that so?" "That' s cewl man" "Is that a fact?"
never say: "yeah.. I've read this book" "not according to Einstein" "what would Heisenberg say if he heard that"
characteristics: Don' t know anything. usualy repeat things without questioning them. Generaly stupid people.
dresscode: sluppy (perhaps)
entertainment: TV, sports (watching)
personality: uninteresting
they always: seem to be lost
they never: open a book
music: punk (?)
you should: only discuss sports with these people

The belonging kind:

quotes: (depends on who they talk to)
never say: things that insult their company.
characteristics: Mood changes with the crowd. Pretending without realising it. talk much. Always want to be part of the group.
dresscode: depends on the occasion, but generaly well and carefully dressed.
entertainment: whatever the guys want to do, talking to the phone
personality: no personality.
they always: do something
they never: rest
music: pop
you should: not invoke conversation if you don' t have pleanty of time.

The practical kind:

quotes: "sure but how much.." "what's in it for me" "ain' t throwing that" "I want it good-and-cheap"
never say: "money is no object" "that's a nice quichen multi-utility-tool.. let's buy it" "So what? We've got money.."
characteristics: always seeing the practical side of the story. They tell you how the movie is gonna end.
dresscode: usualy conservative.
entertainment: mmmmm TV i guess.
personality: kinda funny
they always: buy on sales
they never: let you keep the change
music: old one
you should: trust them... they' re harmless

The in kind:

quotes: "What' s that thing she' s wearing" "Absolutely not" "that' s SOOOO out" "better dead than a in that dress" "where did you get that?"
never say: "Let' s swing" "I've got a headache" "I can't now... I'm reading"
characteristics: smell perfum, can probably tell you how much the stuff that you wear cost and where you bought them.
dresscode: guess
entertainment: clubs, shoping
personality: hollow... (you can hear the echo)
they always: observe the costumes in a movie
they never: leave home without makeup (for the ladies that is)
music: club-like
music: everything that's pop
you should: run away from them

The controling kind:

quotes: "I want that by then" "Did you hear what I said?" "And who made YOU the boss" "you' re not listening to me.."
never say: "Whatever" "I'll do what you tell me to" "I should have trusted you from the beginning"
characteristics: never late, perfectionists
dresscode: strict
entertainment: only when there' s nothing constructive to do.
personality: manipulative
they always: want their coffee with just a touch less sugar.
they never: postpone things for tomorrow.
music: never listen to it. It's an emotional hazard
you should: not make them mad.

The know-it-all kind:

quotes: "But of course" "I KNEW that" "Don' t be stupid" "Yeah yeah yeah" "Whatever" "Sure it is" "that's what I meant all along"
never say: "My mistake" "I didn't know that" "YOU were wright after all"
chracteristics: seem to know everything worth knowing.
dresscode: varies
entertainment: just the wright one. Everybody else just waste their time.
personality: eclectic
they always: like to categorize things (ex. people into different kinds)
they never: Realy listen to anyone
music: classical
you should: not try to make them look bad... they become violent

The computer-geek kind:

quotes: "I had a nasty segfault the other day" "all that goes to /dev/null" "I DO HAVE a life" "what's life without enough RAM"
never say: "I can do it better with a pen and a piece of paper" "I would be better off with less RAM" "wouldn't it be nice if there was a power failure?"
characteristics: they have some diffuculty in communicating with 3d animate objects. If they want to say something to someone they make a homepage
dresscode: don't think they care
entertainment: playing with a debuger, beta-testing
personality: in ones and zeros
they always: regret not having done a backup
they never: trust other people' s code
music: underground and only in mp3s
you should: try to learn something from them

DISCLAIMER: I have distinctly tried not to insult anyone. If you find yourself in one (or more) of the above categories then you probably think there' s nothing wrong with being the XXXXX kind of people (unless you hate yourself). On the other hand, where I make some disfavouring comments that are not directly related to the characteristics of a kind of people (like "get away from them") then I REALLY mean it (and probably admit it in your face). If you deside to flame me please include a picture and mention the kind of man (or woman) you found yourself to be in order to include it in the page. :-)
